ENUF is now online.
No, not a comment on copyright or terrorism, but rather a seachable
database of newton software, broken down into categories along with
searchable text descriptions.
Over 1000 entries are searchable at present, covering NOS 1.0 to 2.1. The
dbase is pretty complete to ~1999, after which coverage is spotty at best.
Assistance from software authors would be helpful here- it would be a big
help if you would send me the text of your current Newton-related web
pages. I'm going to get around to everyone I can think of and cut-n-paste
items in, but getting emailed copies would be a big help. Especially
regarding adding URLs of homepages for current software.
At present, remote users cannot create entries; if anyone wishes to do so,
I'll turn that on, just be good. I'm not anticipating a high demand for
this...
Links to ENUF, and more information, can be found at
<http://bmcewen.home.dyndns.org>.
I used DNUG a lot while it was up, and have missed it. Now that I have the
capability, I want to try and provide a similar service to a great user
community.
Do let me know of any issues. I'm sure there are some inconsistencies and
occasional errors after hacking this big thing together. I'd like to do my
own interface but I've found I'm just not getting around to doing it at
present...so here 'tis.
