I don't know about the Keyspan adaptor, since I don't use it. Is this the
first time you're trying to use it under OS X, or was it working before? If
it's the first time, it might require some kind of drivers under OS X to be
recognized. Remember that all services that are provided to the Classic
applications need to be working in OS X in the first place, or they won't be
available under Classic. Like, no standard serial port, even for Macintosh
that have real serial ports, because they are no serial ports under OS X,
only USB and FireWire.
You want to use Newton Backup Utility or, better, Newton Connection
Utilities with your 2000. Newton Connection Kit is for pre-Newton OS 2.0
devices only.
