Ahh yes... but seeing as I'm going to be living there for at least 2 years,
I don't want to be bothered with the plug adapters from somewhere like radio
shack that's got a good chance of me loosing it. Now the actually Newton
plug adapter is a different story. Plus I know I will be moving around a lot
in France so loosing it for me is a big chance. But thanks for the idea,
definitively if I was only going a short time I wouldn't worry about it.

Hmmm, a quick check of my Newton adapter shows me that
there is no need to replace the power adapter for your
Newt. Take a close look at yours and you will notice
that it says that it will handle voltages upto 240
volts and 50/60 cycles! (all Apple products do this)
So, all you gotta do is get a little 50 cent adapter
plug to fit your Newton adapter into a French socket
and you're done!
Save your money!
