Specifically, look for Hilite2000:

Although, you can copy and paste between Newton apps without any
additional software. Just highlight the text, double-tap and hold, then
drag to the edge of the screen and release. the copies text can then be
drag and dropped to another app.

Hilite 2000 helps facilitate the cut/copy/paste function.
