The safest method to remove "sticky stuff" is to use a damp cloth with
detergent. This will not hurt anything. If this fails, you can try
rubbing alcohol at 50% isopropyl alcohol (what is usually in stores). Be
careful if you find the 70% solution, its much stronger. Test a bit on
an inconspicuous area first. The commercial solutions can be quite
damaging, depending upon the formulation. "All Natural" materials such
as orange oil can easily dissolve many polymers and should be used with
caution. They are meant for surfaces that are very solvent resistant,
such as floors, counter tops, etc.
