Nor is drawing conclusions based solely on crime rates and gun ownership. For example, crime rates tend to drop during periods of economic prosperity.

I'm not interested in debating this complex issue. What you're saying makes some sense to me, but figuring out how everyone can have access to high quality education, health care and jobs would certainly help everyone be safer whether we all had guns or not.
