A friend of mine, who writes a column for a well respected Mac oriented web
site, suspects that Inkwell was specifically created with a future Apple PDA
in mind. As many of us have previously observed, Jobs et al, may have been
unwilling to sell off the Newton technology because they knew it would
reappear in some new reincarnation. That said, I would be surprised if the
Newton platform would have any role to play in the future.
