If the OS had the ability to understand the way data is structured on the
Newton, then yes, I think you would be able to access it. Those flash RAM
cards can be used in a laptop, it's just the format of the card that the OS
can't understand. Somebody with some knowledge about the format structure
and the BSD Unix layer could probably write a driver in OS X for them.

Or, you might want to check NewtSync. John says on his web site that
developers can pretty much access the connected Newton as an Objective-C
object. That sounds exciting!
