This is why I vastly prefer Usenet newsgroups for online discussions.
Usenet clients have sorting/threading capabilities in spades. So much
faster and more flexible than either mailing lists or Web forums.
I've never understood why so many folks seem to prefer e-mail and Web
forums. Perhaps greater familiarity/comfort with Web browsers and
e-mail clients than with Usenet clients...
