I have found that anything that tries to impersonal a serial port on
either the Mac side of things or otherwise has a tendency to break older
software. An example being my trying to connect my older quicktake with my
rev a iMac with a serial adapter installed. No joy. NCU for WIndows does
not offer Ethernet connectivity. It works on my Mac because I can set
appletalk to Ethernet. Can XP do Appletalk at all?

Perhaps an ftp server? That would allow the Newt to connect with some
freeware, yes?
