The thing that retains the pen is not a spring, and it is not part of the
pen. It is a plastic clip that is part of the middle part of the case. It
snaps into the (groove? or is that for records only?) that is in the
1x0 pens about 15 millimeter away from the tip. Unless this groove
is not present or filled with some debris, the pen must snap in if the case
clip is ok.
If you look at http://www.pda-soft.de/130_disassembly08.jpg,
this is the case part in the bottom left corner. If you feel up to disassembling
your 130, I could send you that case part.
