You will need to guarantee privacy by a double-blind
contact system. This would probably require some kind
of intermediary re-email service. This wouldn't be
difficult to implement..I've done these before in the
past back when I did PERL scripts (I'm now primarily
Cold Fusion)
On this note...wasn't there a Newton database that
kept track of newton serial numbers (physical and
electronic) along with the user's name and contact
information? I think it's gone bust since, but if we
can find out who that was and contact them for tips,
this may be something we can implement. There would
need to be a user interface to allow the legitimate
transfer of the Newt owner.
