I'm a private pilot also. I did find a few programs out there that did basic
loading or wind calculations...but the best one I found was Aviatrix. The
version I found was 1.0b1. Looks like a nice friendly interface and has
weight & balance and E6B functions.

The documentation references a version 2 that also would include Checklist,
Navigation, Logbook, performance, flight planning and Duat. However: I
haven't been able to find if version 2 was ever released. I've tried to
contact the author but am unable to locate him.

I think the software is in the archives, but I can also email you a copy. I
would love to be able to locate the author to see how far he actually got
building version 2 functionality...it would be the perfect flight planning
tool for the Newton. Let me know if you find out anything on your end.
Thanks

Donald Ryan
