NPDS indeed will report the IP that NIE is currently using. One could dig
into either the NPDS source code (specifically, the nHTTPd source) or the
other pertinent NIE development documentation (Programmer's Guide, NIE2.0
Developer package etc). AFAIK though NIE2.0 cannot release a DHCP lease,
nor will it automatically renew it after it expires. In short, it's an
awful DHCP client.
