Jesse,

I do ethernet conx with a G4 and an iMac (crossover) but it only work if the
cable is a 10Mbps (an Etherlink III card and 10Mbps dongle too). If I use a
HUB, the normal cables (100Mbps) works...

So, try with a 10Mbps cable (only 4 wires in the plug) and let us know if
this work for you.
