What do you mean by locked? Is the card write-protected? (there is a small
slider switch on the end of Flash storage cards)

Some cards were read-only. Nothing you can do about that.

You should be able to tell what's going on from the dialogue box that
appears when you insert the card.

Subject: [NTLK] Unlocking storage cards - and moving packages

Hi all

Deep joy. I've sorted out the problem I mentioned a while back getting my
MP120 to recognise storage cards. I wasn't pushing them in far enough.
Ooops.

This breakthrough has left me with a couple of other questions, though.

1 How do you unlock a locked card? I've got a 2MB card that came with my
Newt and would like to get at what's on the card, or at least use it for
something else.

2 Given the limited storage capacity of the MP120 and the hefty size of
running SimpleMail, I'd like to move it from the Newt to the 2MB storage
card (when I've sorted the 'locked' issue). Is there a simple way to do
this?

3 Mistakenly installed Newton Works only to discover it only runs under OS
2.1 (I've got 2.0). How do I delete/uninstall it?

Thanks for your help

Russ, UK
