which makes me think of that a new NCU-type of utility is badly needed. as
soon as paul g will relase the ATA drivers, we will have a problem making
backups with the current build of NCU. just imagine syncing a newt with
2x512 CF cards inserted... it would require over 2GB of memory!

maybe apple wants to release the code? (maybe not...)
