Might be...

However, the original design for the new iMac is much older.

When the TAM was being designed, one of the prototypes was conceptually
very similar. It had a TFT just like the iMac. There was a vertical
beam out of the base station, with a T at the top. The screen was at one
end and the counter balance at the other.

So in reality, the new iMac concept is about 6-7 years old.
