Well, to put my coin in the bag,
Since what happens when the batteries get to hot is , that they get
switched off from the load current and when they have cooled down, the
connection is restored, I'd call it a "thermo safety switch" or in good
dutch-german: ein
thermischaktivierteladungspannungbegrenzendesicherheitsschalter.. or
short: talsbs-schalter.
