PalmWiki overcomes this by a similar means: wrap the link in
different delimiters:

   [ZacBir] might link to an Address Book (Names) entry, while
   <ZacBir> might link to a Memo Pad (Notes) entry, while
   {ZacBir} might link to a Date Book (Dates) entry

Yes, it does make the links a bit of a bear.
