The plug-in works with NewtsCape, so I've always pointed
NewtsCape at the palm book and let it handle it.

A few caveats, though. The plug-in will crap out when you start
running out of heap. Since it loads the whole palm book into memory to
translate it, this puts a limit on the size of the palm book. I've got a
special set up on a card with NewtsCape, the palm doc extension, and the
package saver extension. This lets me remove my main memory card
(increasing my free heap), stick in the special card (which only has the
bare minimums to do this), and translate the book. If you tell NewtsCape
to save the thing as a package without displaying it, too, it will take
less heap. Doing both of these things has allowed me to translate small
novels, but nothing too large, with my UMP2000.

Evil Overlord Rule 65:
If I must have computer systems with publically available terminals, the
maps they display of my complex will have a room clearly marked as the
Main Control Room. That room will be the Execution Chamber. The actual
main control room will be marked as Sewage Overflow Containment.
