I just did this and it couldn't have been easier. I am capable when it
comes to wielding a soldering iron, so that obviously makes a
difference, but all in all the process is so simple, you might as well
try it out. Of course, I don't know if this will make any difference
when it comes to dialing a phone. But it does make using headphones
with your Newton possible.
