Hello list members, I'm new to this list though not new to the Newton. I'm
glad to find it is alive and kicking. For anyone who was on the other Newton
list and is viewing this for a second time, my apologies.

I used to own an Apple Newton 2000 and it was absolutely the best computing
experience I've ever had. After my 2000 died, I decided to go with a newer
PDA and I bought myself a Cassiopeia E-110, that died, fatally, in a car
accident with my wife (where my wife actually had an accident with my Casio
and not another car:). I liked the Casio enough, so I went with a E-115 with
32MB of ram which was (and is) a pretty nice luxury.

I enjoy using my Casio, I mean, it's an awesome little system capable of
lots of things....However... there is something about the Newton which keeps
bringing me back to it. It doesn't have the software selections, I can't
play NES or PC Engine games on the road with it, but...... I dunno, I just
love it.

So, though it may be a shot in the dark, I was wondering if anyone would be
looking for a trade?

What I have:

Cassiopeia E-115 (w/ 168mhz NEC VR41xxx MIPS processor ),
32MB internal Ram,
12MB internal Rom,
240x320 16bit high color Active TFT display
Pocket PC OS which includes Pocket Money (actually a good program), Pocket
Word, Pocket Excel, and all the standards like a file explorer, email,
internet explorer etc.
Lots of other software extras I'd be willing to include with the package,
2 recharable Lithium Ion Batteries in good shape,
Hardware from my E-110 which only had the LCD damaged in the car accident
including backup battery, extra stylus, extra buttons, + other replacement
hardware (it was basically the same as the E-115 except for the OS and the
amount of internal RAM).
2 Charging Cradles + AC Adaptors, and then 1 serial cable that can be used
separately from the charging cradles.

Ok, I'm sure you guys all love your Newton's too. So I don't know who might
be interested, but if you are, just send me a mail and we could work out the

specifics. I would only ship via Federal Express and UPS (and would only
accept a trade using those services), and I'd like to get a few references
from the list if you would like to trade with me (though unless you're PC
Engine / Turbo Duo fans, I wouldn't have much to offer except for my e-bay
feedback (user name ysfan) to give you). We could always use an escrow
service:).

I guess I'll just leave the trade offers open, though I want a Newton 2100
specifically that's in good shape with all the connections. I'd go for the
best offer of course (assuming I get one:)

Alrighty then, thank you for letting me post to the list. If you know of any
other good resources for a possible Newton trade (aside from going through
the rigmarole of selling on e-bay and then buying a new one:), please let me
know! :)

Regards,

P.S. The E-115 only has a serial connection, so I don't know what kind of
problems that would present for Mac users. I do not think it works with
pocketmac. (I however, am a Mac user stuck in a PC industry)
