Well, the words "bookman" and "Times" give you an idea of their original
purpose--text fonts, designed to be read "in mass" so to speak. For display,
where each letter counts, a san-serif font actually fits better. Sheesh,
however, if we are going to go serif, take a Garamond, squish it to 80% of
it's width, raise the x-height, and use that--oh wait, that's Apple's
font... :-)
