Congrats on becoming a Mac user!

You didn't mention which version of the Mac OS you re running.

Generally, a #2 error, is a memory addressing error AFAIR. There could
be a variety of reasons for this error.

Suggest that you try a newer version of IE or NS. I believe that the
7500/100 has a CD Rom drive, so you can install it from CD.

BTW, when I get a new Mac or PC I usually nuke it. I completely start
from scratch to make sure that it is set up correctly. I test the
hardware and reformat the HD (test, initalize, partition and format).
Then I install the system OS and applications.

This way you ensure that there are no problems from the get go. When you
buy a used computer, you never know what problems there might be with the
OS or applications that are preinstalled.

One of your Mac using friends should be able to help you get your
computer up and running.
