Yes, I think so too. This is definitely a potential addition for
the 710031 patch since the flaw is pretty obvious. It would also
enable (with a little hacking) other programs like Enroute Mail to
handle ISO8859 data instead of converting all the umlauts to crap.

Not yet... I was hoping somebody had a quick and dirty hack,
especially since there is a package called UniPCMapper that might
allow to add custom encodings. It's just nowhere to be found.
