This is not necessarily an accurate statement. Most colleges support the
latest Macs AND PCs. Which one you use depends upon your major. I use a
Mac, because I am a Journalism major, but I also have to use Virtual PC,
because I am also majoring in Political Science. SOME colleges have gone
completely PC, but they are only colleges where Windows dominates all of
their majors. At schools with programs in Journalism, Education, Film,
Telecommunications, Art, Foriegn Languages, etc., you will find Macs
everywhere. PCs are found in Business.

Again, you are making an assumption that the child will be working in
"business," and not any of the many other careers where it either
doesn't matter which they prefer, or Macs are actually better.
