There are several serious problems:
1. complex shape of the clasps
2. very functional material, providing the spring effect
3. original design suffers from weak fixation

All this complicates e.g. selfmaking of replacements out of raw material.
Also casting with epoxy resin is complicated because of the complex 3D
structure which would have to be optimized. The easiest is still to get a
replacement from someone or fix the clasp in some non-removable way.
