Thanks Raphael for your detailed description on NiMH/NiCd reconditioning and
treatment. There's a more pragmatic solution: As soon as the accu pack isn't
able to power your Newton longer than e.g. 3...8 hours replace the cells
with new high capacity ones. Don't mess around with reconditioning, period.
The time spent on setting up everything is better invested in refurbishing
the accu pack or modifying the battery tray to allow NiMH cell charging.
