Check out David Humphries' instructions for replacing the backlight:

Do the first four steps to remove the cover, then look at step 8 for a
good shot of what the ROM card is, and how to remove it. To reseat it,
insert it at the same angle it came out, then press it down until it
clicks in place. If it won't click, then it's not inserted all the way.

And be careful with the little plastic tabs that keep it in! I once broke
one of these while replacing some RAM in my sister's laptop, and it wasn't
fun to get it fixed.
