This the way most MP130 backlights die. own two 130's whose backlights
died that way.

Weird, never seen THAT so far.

Most likely.

Hard to say. The 130 is the least robust Newton model I know. But if the
shadowy mist has disappeared after a reset, I wouldn't be overly
worried yet.
