I would like to hear some examples.

Currently, I have the pleasure to work on Win NT machines on campus
for corpus-linguistics.
OMG.
Not only that this OS is ugly to an extent that I thougt impossible,
I guess one could tweak it to look nicer, but the file organization
is a mess, and I managed to kill programs several times when I just
wanted to close a window, as the icons were so close and all the
same. I guess the Mac made me too stupid ;)
OSX lacks when I want to do under the hood and backup things, there
are just too many places called "library", so I miss the simplicity
of OS9 and below where you could just drop the whole system folder on
a disk knowing that it would work whereever you dumped it. But that
is it.
