If you don't find a specific solution, you might try using Simple Mail.
You can e-mail a .wav or .au to yourself from the desktop, then
retrieve from the Newton. You can then select "Put away" and the sound
will be available to any application that uses system sounds. You can
also leave the e-mail in your In box and play the sound directly from
the e-mail. You should be able to beam this e-mail if you want to share
it with other Newton users.
