Wow, I should be so lucky. I get jaggies on my "bad" newts even if I do a
complete brainwipe. I'm afraid in my case it's almost certainly a hardware
problem.

You're not the first to report success in curing jaggies through software,
so there must be something to it. Not on my Newts though, sadly for me.
