Sounds like either a Virex problem, or perhaps you simply need to run Norton
on the Mac to repair some corrupted files/directory links. This sort of
thing happens and has nothing to do with viruses.

OE doesn't create 'no name files'. And it doesn't save attachments unless
you tell it to. The OE cache file *does* sometimes get flaky (at least
pre-version-5) and one of the simplest fixes to OE crashes always was to
quit OE and delete the cache file. But I've never heard of the cache file
becoming 'no name'.
