The Newton Connection Utilites allow you to move information to and from
the Newton, and even to use your desktop keyboard to enter data onto the
Newton. To connect to OSX 10.2, you'd need a Serial to USB adapter. If
you wanted to use an Ethernet or 802.11 wireless connection, you'd need
the serial adapter to install the necessary drivers first.

The 2100 has an optional word processor called Newton Works, which will
import and export Rich Text Format files. Simple, but it works.

Also, there is a new Mac sync program being developed called nSync:

In addition, there's a native OSX package installer for serial connections
called NewTen:

Keep in mind that most of this requires Classic (OS 9) to be installed,
except for NewTen and nSync (when it is released).
