Philip,

Are you using Ethernet via a PC Card? If so do you have the correct
AppleTalk setting in Prefs (EtherTalk and picking the correct driver)?

I just recently bumped into this trying to do WiFi from my UMP2100. After
loading the WiFi driver (and testing it), I somehow set the AppleTalk
setting (not by me going to Prefs though) to the WiFi PC Card, then when I
went back to Dock using the Ethernet PC Card I couldn't Dock (-61001) but
NIE (Web & Email) stuff worked fine.

Also, reconfirm NIE settings. A good cross check if Ethernet, is to web
surf or Email to see if Ethernet is working, thus isolating it to Dock via
AppleTalk to NCU.

Cheers,
Kevin Hennessy
