[NTLK] I'm back.... :)

Hello List...

After a long hiatus, I'm back. I feared that my MP2000 and 2100UG had both
died (no power at all), until I saw the latest FAQ, which suggests removing
all cards and batteries overnight. I was very happy to see both power up
this morning without a hitch!! In the hiatus, I was using a Palm IIIe. While
the IIIe has it merits, in terms of size, it is best only (IMHO) as a PDA
(read portable data access) unit, and has ease it exchanging/entering data
via PC. But I still find the Newton to be far more functional straight out
of the box. It was missed.

That being said, while I don't have the FAQ in front of me, can someone
suggest the best route for repair? Here's my (annoying) problem with the
2100UG: I can turn the unit on via the reset button, but can only power off
the unit by removing the AC power, so I fear the power switch is bad. Is it
a user friendly repair, or should I send it out? Is Dr. Watson still around
and doing repair/upgrades?

Thanks for the read....

Doug
