Matthew,

A 2100 is definitely worth considering.

However, the 130 has some positive attributes over the 2100:
* Smaller
* Lighter
* Case is more robust
* More stable touch panel (less prone to drift and jaggies)

Subject: [NTLK] Recommendations for buying a Newton

I used to have a Newton 120 and then moved on to other
devices and currently have a CLIE NX70, iPaq 1910, and
Sharp Zaurus 5500. I am a writer and reviewer for
PDAGeek and after our editor Joel brought up the
Newton in a blurb last week it got me longing for
another Newton. The only thing I really didn't like
about the 120 was no backlight. I am considering a
130 and the only place I can find them available is on
ebay, but lost a bidding war on Sunday. I have always
longed for a 2000/2100 and am considering buying one
from J&K Sales or GEM Enterprises. Do the differences
(faster processor, larger display, etc) between the
130 and 2000/2100 warrant about double the price?=20
Does anyone have a 2000/2100 for sale or can you give
me your recommendations on where to purchase? Thank
you for your assistance.

I just signed up for this list and can't believe how
active the Newton community still is. Keep it up!!!

Matthew (aka palmsolo)
