Interesting.

I connect from my Newton via WEP (40bit), manual IP configuration =>
Airport (Snow) => Ethernet LAN => Mac Duo docked (7.6.1) => Local
Talk Bridge => LocalTalk => Mac Duo#2 (7.6.1) => NCU without a
problem.

I also connect from my Newton via WEP (40bit), manual IP
configuration => Airport (Snow) => original iBook (9.2.2) WEP
(40bit), DHCP assigned IP => NCU without a problem.

I suspect you are running OSX on the iMac G4 and I wonder if OSX's
characteristics may have something to do with your problem? I don't
have OSX.

Cheers,

Darrell
