Re: [NTLK] iPod mutates - and a question

7500 songs will NOT fit onto a 30 GB drive. I have a 30 GB FW external drive
on my PowerBook and I currently have 2591 songs on there, using 19.04 GB.
Taking into account that a 30 GB (1 GB = 1000^3 Bytes) formats to only 27.8
(or so) real GB, I can only get 3784 tracks on the unit.

Of course, if I go and re-rip all my CDs in crappy 128kbit/sec quality, I
might get the advertised number of tracks. But then, my listeing experience
will be so bad, that I simply will not listen to anything on there.

Question: I can get an 80 GB 2.5" drive. Can I just 'upgrade' an iPod with one
of those or is there a problem?

Best regards,
Chris
