Paperback format packages are Newton books created from text files using
a piece of software called 'Paperback'. It is an alternative to Newton
Book Maker or Newton Press for creating Newton-based electronic books.
The main pros and cons of this format are listed on the page itself: The
advantages are smaller file size and having the ability to resize fonts.
The main disadvantage is that there is no indexing available.

At the bottom of the page are normal Newton Book formatted versions of
LOTR - which include indexes, but are much larger in size.
