The blackout extended west of Detroit by 2 counties.

Everything south of Flint and SouthEast of Lansing in Michigan was
dark, plus the entire thumb region.

I was at work when it hit... 30 second later the v6 engine on the 1inch
gas line kicked in and we were the only building within sight with any
power (Provide.net, a regional ISP)
