Thanks for your reply, Paul. I think I have another card of the same model
lying around; I will try that to see if it fares differently.

The only other card I have at the moment is a 3C589B, and since that
apparently isn't supported I may have to look on eBay also, or beg one off
my friend who uses an eMate.
