        And, god forbid, if you break the hinges on a TiBook (they're
pot metal) you either pay $1,200 for a replacement screen from Apple,
or get a company down in Georgia to replace your hinge and rebuild
the screen for about $800. How do I know? Bitter experience.
Actually it's not as bitter an experience as it could have been,
since I found a *third* alternative--but it's screwy enough that I
can't recommend it on an international mailing list...
