Go buy some travellers cheques. They are a whole lot cheaper to buy than a
money order and you tend to get a better exchange rate for some reason.

You do mean Pounds Sterling don't you? For pounds force, the regular mail
system works well as far as cheap is concerned. There is a tradeoff between
cheap and fast.
