John,

You need a NCU running on your host PC.

There are both Win and Mac versions available at:

http://www.unna.org/unna/apple/connection_utils/

You also might want to browse around www.una.org for other Next =
software.

Hello Everybody,

I just became a proud owner of a Newton 130! Boy, this has it all over=20
any palm I have ever seen!

Sorry for the questions I am about to ask, but as stated before, I=20
haven't even had this Newton for 24 hours!

First, I am trying to connect my Newton to my Powerbook 3400 through=20
the serial port with no luck! What am I missing? The error message is "=20
no connection found" even though both have been hooked up to the cable=20
and both are set to serial port.(I know that I must be missing an=20
important link to the puzzle somewhere.

Since I do not have a modem card yet(next on my list of purchases),=20
what would you recommend? Should I buy new? Or should I go and do the=20
Ebay thing?

Many thanks in advance for your advice,

John :-)
