That cool feature only works if the manufacturer is actually providing
the driver and if they are on top of it enough to register the drivers
with Apple's driver locator.

If you are dealing with an off brand camera, whose manufacturer doesn't
know mac from a whole in the ground, this feature is not like to
succeed. Slick feature though.

Here are links to IOXperts (via versiontracker) which have a lengthy
list of supported cameras, they sell these drivers...

They have one driver for FW and a couple for USB (separate items).
