Fairly easy. Too much over 7.5V will toast a 2000 or 2100. By toast

You'd probably want to test the thing with a multimeter before even
considering plugging it into your Newton. Also, make sure that the
adapter you buy is REGULATED - most cheap ones aren't. See this very
