Some service providers limit email send access to clients that are
connecting through there network... Earthlink might be one...

Mac.com requires SMTP AUTH to send... and a RETURN address that agrees
with your mac.com address.

If you have all those things set right, you will be sending mail soon...

PS A recap, send using mac.com for SMTP, set authorization for the
send with the proper password, make sure your return address is
proper...
